Why shop with us? We’re a family-owned farm that only uses organic growing methods and locally sourced lumber, soil, and composts. Moreover, we are PASSIONATE about what we grow. Each plant is cared for, nourished, pinched, pruned, and inspected for pests on a daily individual basis. (Some of us here at Fable’s may go so far as to play music for them and talk to them… that may be going a bit too far, but it feels right so we’re sticking with it.) We are serious about preventing diseases and viruses in our plants - we sanitize between every cut of plant and tuber, and we destroy anything questionable as per the ADS recommendations. Every penny you spend with Fable’s Farm Dahlias goes right back into building our farm.

TUBER SALES:
Tuber sales are limited to the USA only. (We’re working out how to legally ship to Canada for next year.) We are in zone 6A/5B here at Fable’s Farm, which means we have ice and snow well into March and sometimes April. Our tubers are shipped out starting mid April to make certain they do not freeze in transit.
For tips on how to grow your new tubers, visit our Dahlia Care and Planting Guide page (a card with basic tips is also included with every tuber order for your convenience!) We recommend joining dahlia groups on social media, and checking out your local Dahlia Society as well as the American Dahlia Society, which are wealths of further in depth knowledge.

If you feel confident in how to overwinter dahlias and you want to make sure you get one of our tubers before they sell out, you can order tubers for immediate shipment in November (this date is typically the week of our first hard frost here in NH and can vary. Announcements of this flash sale will be made on facebook, instagram, and our blog.)
