Penhill Watermelon
This listing is for 1 tuber shipped direct from our farm in April.
Truly a gorgeous dahlia. These flowers are dinner plate size in general, but some can come out smaller depending on your care and climate. Most of ours ranged from 8 inchs to 12 inches. The colors can range from dusky tan/pink to bright watermelon with cream streaks - you never know what you’ll get. The flowers morph and change with the growing season.
Form: Informal Decorative
Bloom Size: 8-12” (Dinner Plate)
Plant size: 48-60”
Fable’s Notes: Such a popular flower that our neighbors and our friends reserved many tubers before they were even dug up for storage! We love them in our vases, too, and will be keeping them going on the farm. We even preferred them to the ever-popular Cafe au Lait.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
***Tubers start shipping out in mid April unless otherwise requested. If you request an earlier shipment of your order, you are strongly encouraged to add an insulation pack to their order to avoid risk of freezing in transit. We are not responsible for weather damage during transit. All orders are shipped via USPS.***
Sometimes crud happens, and while we only list a portion of each variety into our shop at a time to try to mitigate risk of running short on supply, there is a possibility of tubers not making it through the winter (like the one year mice managed to get into our storage containers in March!) If such a thing occurs, and we are unable to fulfill your order, you will be notified for the option of a refund or store credit as you see fit. This year, we have a dedicated refrigeration unit to keep our tubers safe and at the perfect temp and humidity, so we’re hopeful all our stock will pull through without a hitch.
