A tried and true favorite in the dahlia world, these velvet-like blooms are favored for their dark purple/red petals - so dark that they’re considered part of the “black dahlia” category. See our notes for ones we consider darker!

Fable’s Notes: Unlike other “black” dahlias we grow, these tend to be more purple with pink striations than the standard dark burguny red like in Dark Fubuki, Black Satin, and Black Narcissus. If you’re looking for a darker flower, we suggest Black Satin and Black Narcissus.

Sometimes crud happens, and while we only list a portion of each variety into our shop at a time to try to mitigate risk of running short on supply, there is a possibility of tubers not making it through the winter (like the one year mice managed to get into our storage containers in March!) If such a thing occurs, and we are unable to fulfill your order, you will be notified for the option of a refund or store credit as you see fit. This year, we have a dedicated refrigeration unit to keep our tubers safe and at the perfect temp and humidity, so we’re hopeful all our stock will pull through without a hitch.
