Cafe au Lait
This listing is for 1 tuber shipped direct from our farm in April.
The frenzied flower of the dahlia world, Cafe au Lait lives up to its well-deserved reputation for being a jewel in bouquets. Creams, blushes, mochas, white - its all found in these flowers. Sadly, this year, we did not get many photos (this was one we thought we had taken lots of pics of…. but did not. oops!)
Form: Informal Decorative
Bloom Size: 6-10” (dinner plate)
Plant size: 48”
Fable’s Notes: A late bloomer. Not as prolific as we would have liked compared to its sister, cafe au lait rose, which bloomed all the time. We have read that in cooler climes, cafe au lait does better under high tunnels and hoop houses.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
***Tubers start shipping out in mid April unless otherwise requested. If you request an earlier shipment of your order, you are strongly encouraged to add an insulation pack to their order to avoid risk of freezing in transit. We are not responsible for weather damage during transit. All orders are shipped via USPS.***
Sometimes crud happens, and while we only list a portion of each variety into our shop at a time to try to mitigate risk of running short on supply, there is a possibility of tubers not making it through the winter (like the one year mice managed to get into our storage containers in March!) If such a thing occurs, and we are unable to fulfill your order, you will be notified for the option of a refund or store credit as you see fit. This year, we have a dedicated refrigeration unit to keep our tubers safe and at the perfect temp and humidity, so we’re hopeful all our stock will pull through without a hitch.
